Jenny Geronimo Reyes is the designer behind the brand Geronimo. She recently launched the spring 2011 line, which you’re about to learn about in this blog post.
Based in Los Angeles, the designer is inspired by music, the California sun, and her grandmother, who actually taught her how to sew.
She designed stage outfits, but also has a passion for vintage – the two are mixed in her collections of sexy, playful clothes. This year’s spring collection consists of ethereal mini dresses, pretty skirts and shorts and see-through tops. They look like the kind of clothes that you might forget you’re wearing, in the sense that they’re so light and comfy.
There is also a line of bathing suits, with an obvious retro inspiration. Although they don’t reveal that much skin, they are sexy and intriguing. We like the two pieces as much as the one piece in the look book!
Polka dots and stripes, the stars of the 50s and 60s, along with lace and ruffles make the items incredibly feminine. The pale light in the photos gives even more of a vintage feel to the catalogue and makes us think of a bohemian summer day spent by the pool with a nice drink and a good book.
