The highlight of the style conscious calendar is fast approaching, as Fashion Week is about to hit New York City. For the first time since 1993, this fashion spectacle will be taking place in a brand new venue.
On September the 9th, the Lincoln Center, located on the upper west side, will be opening its doors to the most stylish and influential audience in the fashion industry. With the reputation of being home to the City’s most affluent, cultural and artistic inhabitants, the upper west side will be the ideal location for New York’s most prestigious fashion event.
New York Fashion  Week had been showing at Bryant Park for the last 17 years and many designers had subsequently settled into offices and showrooms close-by, therefore unsurprisingly there was outrage amongst the designers who felt put out at the prospect of having to ferry their collection further uptown. Although the tents have become an iconic symbol of the famous event, the new venue is set to mark the dawn of a new era.
